Re: Questions for Mark 'LittleBigPlanet' Healey
Aww, just missed this one.
I would have suggested you ask about The Edge, to see if he'd dish any dirt on Tim Langdell, the patent troll and censored that went around suing anyone and anything with "edge" in the title. Apparently he also screwed people out of money when running The Edge.

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 136
I've always thought magazines frowned upon Christmas covers due to foreign sales? Not just RG, but any magazine in any market (at IPC Media we tried to avoid things which would prematurely date covers). Sure, those of us in the UK will get a Christmas cover and enjoy it, but Americans and Australian...

Re: From the forum issue 131 - Favourite FMV game
Is this because that issue has an interview with the reclusive Tom Zito? Major coup if so. I tried Tom couple of years ago but he wouldn't go for it. I got the impression he didn't have the greatest opinion of fmv games so am interested to see what he has to say... I tried Tom 3 times in 2006, unti...

Re: First game to be affected by real world calendar dates
Christmas Nights was 1996, so after the 1989 mahjong game. However, Little Computer People was 1985, so if it did take into account the date, it would set a precedent. I found an Amiga review (release 1987), which stated the following: "When I told him the date was the 25th of December, Christmas Da...

Re: 'Bedrooms to Billions' film project - how you can help!
I can understand the delays and don't begrudge them at all. I'm happy for them to take as long as they need. Knitting together something of such complexity and magnitude is going to have a lot of hidden time costs. Even addressing something small can lose hours of your day. Also factor in the proble...

First game to be affected by real world calendar dates
A bit of public research, this one. Games which are affected by real-world dates, as recorded by the hardware's clock. For example, playing various Dreamcast games on Christmas day. Obviously the hardware would need an internal clock, so the earliest example will probably be computers from the 1980s...

HELL YES!!! I had been planning to interview him myself, many, many months ago. But we missed each other, then I went to Japan for my book, and then I was unable. I am so glad you're interviewing him. Make it amazing. Questions. Many of these are based on the interviews of his I read and watched on...

... I've never come across Kerry Brunskill's name before in games writing..... I suppose it's time I popped my head 'round the door and said "That's me!". Ahh! We know each other from HG101! I don't ever recall seeing your real name associated with the nickname though. Neato - along with Kurt's Won...

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 124
Did a quick search and only found one mention of Chinese in this thread. So thought I should say something (not read any other feedback). I've never come across Kerry Brunskill's name before in games writing, but the 4 page feature on Chinese RPGs is the kind of article which would encourage me to k...

To me the Jaguar was a bit like the Betamax To me, the Jaguar is a bit like having a rug made from actual jaguar skin. It's in your home and you think: this is pretty cool. Then your friends come round and they're like: YOU SICK INHUMAN MONSTER! I usually hide it when they come round. The rug, I me...

Just discovered there was actually a BB and a BB model 2!
I'm not being ironic when I say I find that fascinating.

Re: What hardware doesn't get enough love?
BARCODE BATTLER I'd like to see a feature with interviews from the people who designed and made it, a walkthrough describing a play session, and then a full single page to cut out from the magazine, containing a series of powerful barcodes and descriptions of what they give you. You could do a box ...
