This Strife - a comic made with the Duke 3D Build engine

Hey folks I used to run a website called This Strife where I posted comics I'd made using the build engine featuring Duke 3D, Doom Marine and various other classic gaming characters. This is one of the comics I made back in 2005. https://64.media.tumblr.com/4432a0c1be3b6390f321daf7bb455f5f/0fd200780...

Re: KOTOR on iPad

It's certainly very tempting!

Playing it originally on the PC was a definitive gaming experience. I find it often more pleasurable to reply these games on touchscreen devices.

For example the HD version of Monkey Island on the iPad was great!

My first Amiga(s) - which I bought this weekend!

Growing up I never had an Amiga, they always seemed like a premium brand and I don't think any of my friends had one. For me it was all consoles, PCs and perhaps the nearest to an Amiga was going on the Atari ST  A few months ago I read the Retro Gamer feature on collecting the Amiga 500 , whi...

Re: Introduce yourself

Howdy - I'm Pete from the UK I've hit the grand old age of 30. I balance a job and family, whilst trying to find time for some gaming (Which can be quite thin on the ground these days) I've grown up with computers, which meant I've played games my whole life. From consoles to PC games (and before): ...

Re: Great Retro-gaming websites - the sticky thread!

A bit shameless - but I've recently started up a retro Tumblr blog about classic PC games at http://www.strifestreams.com/

I do love Retro Gamer - but it seems to miss out on PC gaming, which is were I have most my best gaming memories! Can't forget about those classic CGA/EGA/VGA gaming years! :D

Re: Stupidest thing you've done thats damaged a game or mach

As a kid we owned an Acorn Electron where I spent many happy hours attempting to load games via the tape drive by setting the volume/load level to the right setting... Anyway, years later when I owned a Sega Gamegear I ended up getting curious about the carriage connector on the back of the Acorn El...

Re: PC Love?

I must admit, I do miss the lack of PC love in Retro Gamer. That's one I the reasons I started up my own Tumblr site mainly about Retro PC games ( http://www.strifestreams.com /) I did a post today about Liero - which isn't *that* old a PC game, but looks and plays like one of the classics. Quoting ...
