Re: Coin-Op : The Arcade Guide

Just ordered 2 copies. One for me and my brother. We spent most of our lives growing up in the arcades. Looking forward to this. Good luck Darren.

Re: What was #1 the week you were born?

I was born in September 1973 and the song at number one on the week i was born was Eye Level by The Simon Park Orchestra. Instrumental t.v theme tune to a show called Van Der Valk. Some cop show set in Holland apparently. Happy enough with that as quite a catchy little number. Could have been a lot ...

Re: Retro Gamer Issue 208 - Back to the 80s

Being born in 73 i love everything to do with the 80's so this issue is perfect for me. The cover is great as it really stands out and reminds me of some gaming magazines from the past. Lots of interesting content this month as well. Also my first ever owned computer the Dragon 32 which doesn't appe...

Jetman comic strip Kickstarter

A collection of all the Jetman comic strips from the old Crash magazines are being made into a book. There is a kickstarter up and running by Chris Wilkins who did all the Crash and ZZap 64 annuals recently and they have already smashed the target with 6 days to go. Just thought some others on here ...

Re: Retro Gaming Royal Mail Stamps

Well my stamps arrived on Tuesday and very nice they look too!
These were ordered through Royal Mail and delivered by a Royal Mail postman. Says 'Do Not Bend' on the envelope and they arrive slightly bent.
No care taken what so ever!

Re: What game have you COMPLETED this week

Just completed Spider-man on the PS4 and i am now mopping up the trophies. Wow what a game. The faces on the characters in the cut-scenes are so realistic it was like i was watching a real film. They have got the web swinging perfect. So much fun swinging through the streets of New York. The combat ...

Re: Retro Gaming Royal Mail Stamps

I never buy stamp collections but i love these and will be ordering a pack for myself. Not too bothered about the Tomb Raider stamps so will probably get the pack that doesn't include those. Must have been difficult to narrow down which games to choose from though.

Re: Amusement Arcades, where are they?

Thanks jdanddiet for the heads up about Neon Knights arcade in Leigh-on-sea.
I'd never heard of it before now and it's just a few stops on the train for me.
I will be making a trip there very soon. Can't wait. :D

Re: Amusement Arcades, where are they?

The best arcade to visit at the moment in the U.K. is the Arcade Club which is based in Bury near Manchester and a new one in Leeds. 3 floors of retro arcade goodness for only £16 to get in and then all on free play all day. Retro Gamer did an article on them a few issues back. Retro heaven. Wish th...
