RX-64R in progress - behemoth modded C64!

Image

I'm making this as a permanent home for my poor downtrodden 64 I used to play when I was a kid.

If anyone would like to make their own there are some links (and more pics) on my blog.

Re: Issue 72 feedback thread....

How about Grademis? Sorted. Enough.

Really enjoyed Iain Lee's column. Fresh concept and very funny.

Amazing I managed to get a comment on the 2nd page of feedback instead of the 68th. I feel included now!

Happy new year all.

Re: Your ideal SID/C64 music feature in Retro Gamer

Would be great to see at least a boxout on music making software, to whet the appetite of some of the musicians out there

sadotracker, MSSIAH/prophet64 etc

Re: Issue 67 Feedback

Overall fantastic issue. I don't usually comment in the feedback thread as I'm usually late and have to wade through 10 pages or so of comments, and everything's been said. Not this time! Wow! Really chuffed to see one of my games listed in the "Six SEUCK games you have to play"! Thanks RG! Really s...

isn't it you
Yeah it's me. I can be proud of my own (hideous) work though can't I?

I know some people get emotional about C64s being remodelled so I am trying to limit my own exposure to personal attacks. ;)

It wasn't as bad as what I thought it could have been. For me though it just wasn't a Bond film. More like the Bourne meets Tombraider for my liking. The gun barrel sequence at the end? What was that all about? Judy Dench is not a patch on the original M - she's acts like Bonds mother! No gadgets g...

some tricks people used to do
I remember if you zapped the coin slot in a particular place on particular machines with a BBQ igniter (out of a gas BBQ) and after about 20 tries you'd get a credit.

A man walks into a petrol station and says, "can I please have a KitKat Chunky?" The lady behind the till gets him a KitKat Chunky and brings it back to him. "No," says the man, "I wanted a normal KitKat, you fat bi*tch." (copied & pasted from a Friday email) As for personal insults, I got called "s...

I think my favourite cover album of all time has to be Paul Anka - Rock Swings He covers rock tracks in a big band / swing / Sinatra style. e.g. Wonderwall, Jump (Van Halen), Black Hole Sun (Soundgarden) Check it out if you can. Another one to look out for is Nouvelle Vague, doing punk covers in a P...
