Re: From the forum issue 127 - Favourite arcade games

Soooo miss the arcades, great experiences, and never thought I'd see a day when their quality could be replicated at home... still, we have the memories, we have MAME.... and for me mythical status goes to the mighty RYGAR as I only found it once and it's still my favourite... but every seaside visi...

Re: From the forum issue 117 Best Master System game

Wow Master System....totally underrated machine that I had loadsa fun with and stupidly sold for £15 back in the day - including about 20 games one of which was Phantasy Star that's now worth loads !... My favourite game is a hard call... loads of great arcade conversions too...its probably be a fig...

Re: Arcade cabinets

Here here... Arcades are what it was all about back in the day, and what the computers and consoles were trying to live up to. So many fond memories of the arcades... The sounds and lights and cabinets...art work and weird designs with handle bars and guns placed on the front etc! I've asked before ...

Re: Epic Arcade Project

I REALLY hope this happens... what a shame that the arcade scene dies... it was an amazing time to be part of and i am pretty sure kids today would still love it, even though the games don't look as sophisticated as their Xboxes.... Its the experience of the machines themselves as well as the games....

Re: From the forum issue 109

COOKIE ! My sister and I bought a Spectrum game each back in the day , and they both, completely by chance, happened to be Ultimate games on silver label. I bought Pssst n she bought Cookie... I loved them both, but even now Cookie gets me hooked. So simple, so original, still a challenge, and so mu...

Seaside arcades

I don't think you have ever done a whole feature on the phenomena that was the 80s and 90s ..well 70s too I guess... arcade amusement parks. I loved the feature where people wrote in about old machines still existing among the new, and the damn fruit machines !... The way it is now makes me so sad. ...

Re: Official Feedback Issue 103

Just to prove that the hobby of Retro gaming can touch our hearts as well as our trigger fingers I just read the article in tribute to Jack Tramiel. I didn't know anything about the Commodore back story to be honest, cause I'm a blinkered Speccy lover, and I wasn't even sure if that part of the maga...

Re: From the forum issue 102

This month I'd like to know who your favourite Spectrum developer was. I'd like to see some love for Hewson. Not only did they have the amazing Rafaelle Cecco writing for them and making me proud to own a spectrum with polished titles such as Exolon, Cybanoid and Stormlord, but they also released t...

Love for RYGAR

Ok so its a personal obsession, and I may be his biggest fan, but the awesome arcade game Rygar is not only my favourite game of all time but would make an interesting article I'm sure. It has spawned some good and some bad ports on 8 bit computers, a great one on atari lynx, also a japanese only ma...

You can buy them over at Sega Age

That sounds cool ! I'd love to get one even if it is repro-
Couldn't see anything about it on the sega age site though.
If it's not too much trouble would you be able to link me to it? Or give a hint where to look?
Appreciated.

Re: Game Hunting - What Games are you Trying to Acquire?

Searching through google images I have seen a UK / European cart and cover for RYGAR on the master system- as far as I was aware this only came out in Japan as ARGOS NO JUUJIKEN .... do any Euro carts exist? I'd love one?.... probably well above my budget though.... which is why I don't collect much!
