Re: From The Forum 144 - Best Yu Suzuki game

Shenmue 1 or 2, Outrun 2 are my top picks. But does anyone remember Outrigger on the Dreamcast? A hidden gem for the system for sure.

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 141

This has to be my favourite retro gamer issue for a while. The others have been fantastic but this one was even more so. Loved the Power Stone 2 moments spread (that is a classic moment for me too, so I could absolutely relate to it) and I loved the gaming failures article. I really enjoy reading ab...

Charity Shop Consoles

Hey everyone, I often go into charity shops looking for second-hand game consoles at a cheaper price than eBay etc., but i find that I often don't see them at all. I did some voluntary work at Oxfam and they tended to send these machines elsewhere because they had no way of testing them for safety a...

Re: From The Forum Issue 142

I really like GunBird 2 on the Dreamcast. I love the cutesy feel of the game and the characters you can play as (I like the witch that turns all of the bullets into candy). I found it welcoming, not too hardcore and overall quite forgiving, which is great if you suck at the genre like I do. I rememb...

Re: What game have you COMPLETED this week

Persona 3 FES. FINALLY. I've been playing it for so long and so thoroughly that it feels like a real achievement. I've thoroughly enjoyed it too. After losing to the final boss after a two hour match, I grinded up to such a high level that it became way too easy! Also what a great ending to the stor...

Re: Sega fans - what has filled the space they occupied for

I don't think I will ever find a company that had games as unique and as daring as Sega. I have however, found many games from all different companies that I absolutely love. Atlus' Persona series is incredible, and for me, this series could easily beat a number of beloved Sega series to the top spo...

Re: Discuss Time! Issue 141 Your first gaming purchase

A lot of my early games were bought for me by my parents. I remember getting a hand-me-down PSOne and finally getting my hands on Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 for it, which I bought with my own money. I'd wanted my own Tony Hawk game that I could play at home for years so I was absolutely over the moon ...

Re: Resident Evil 6 - Oh God what have they done?!!!

Resident Evil 4 was a masterpiece; a complete revolution of the series but still creepy with a few scares and the usual disgusting mutations etc. Wesker manipulating the story in the background also ties the game into the RE storyline but it can also be ignored of course and enjoyed for what it is....

Re: From the forum issue 108

Alundra, hands down. Everyone calls it a Legend of Zelda clone but if I am honest, I prefer this game to Legend of Zelda any day. It's just so dark and immersive and the music by Kōhei Tanaka is out of this world.

Shenmue 1 + 2 for 30 quid in really great, working condition. Maybe a little expensive for the first game but for the second that is pretty good!

Re: What game have you COMPLETED this week

Me and buddy sat through and played the whole of the translated version of Clock Tower for the Super Famicom. We got ending C, but it is definitely a great game to play with someone else as you can work out all the puzzles and help each other out when nasty young Bobby pops out.

I loved the article about Carmageddon and controversial games. For some reason I am drawn to stuff like that! Loved the little key and all the interviews you included!
