Re: Playing games at your mates back in the day

Online gaming has killed off the tradition of going round to your mates to play multi-player games which is a bit of a shame but you can't beat being connected to thousands of people online. I used to go to my best mates almost every day, we would split our time from playing computer games and hangi...

Re: Amiga 1200 questions

I just wouldn't even risk buying just the console alone. The extra cost of finding all the other parts might be a lot more than just finding a bundle on ebay.

Re: Introduce yourself

Never introduced myself so here we go:- Average short of guy who loves gaming (retro and next gen) but also enjoy football, reading and anything techy. First system I played/owned was our family Dragon 32 but only really got heavily into gaming when my brother bought a C64. Naturally advanced to the...

Wheres the spark gone?

One reason why retro gaming will always live long in peoples memory is due to the vast array of titles spanning all aspects of the gamers imagination. Speeding along a multi-coloured course with your unicycle in Uniracers on the SNES or trading as a space pirate in the wonderful Frontier on the Amig...

Consoles on the decline?

After my own experiences and after reading a very interesting article on the web, experts are saying consoles are on the decline. Top of the range consoles are very powerful piece of kit but also the can be very fragile at the same time. Myself alone have had 3 PS3's over 3 years and all of them hav...

Re: Has the motion control bubble burst?

The motion sensor stuff needs to move into a new direction and have more in depth titles. The Wii is fantastic and so is both Kinect and Move but the majority of titles are nothing more than a gimmick.

Re: Games that were better than their Arcade counterparts

I beg to differ......

Also Combat School was better on C64 than arcade. I was sick and tired of getting my fingers nipped on the trackerball when playing it in the arcade.

Re: What is your first memory of seriously laughing at a gam

Simon and the Scorcher made me laugh when I had it on my CD32. I am a big Red Dwarf fan plus the script was pretty good as well. I think Monkey Island 2 made me laugh as well.

Old Games New Tech

I was thinking last night is there any retro games that would compete against the modern day big hitters if they too had online multiplayer feautres. No graphic or sounds updates just online connectivity and maybe cpu speeds. The reason I was thinking this was imagine how good Frontier would be if i...
