Just got this through my door. Very happy you have more on Neo Geo. I would like to see in future interviews with makers of specific Neo Geo game like Blazing Star
Also pleased to see Special Reserve and Utopia. More Intellivision also please. All my interests in one mag!

Re: Retro Gamer Issue 214 - Turrican
Enjoyed this issue a lot. TO RETROGAMER: I have one general request - when you say in a "Making of" feature about a game being inspired by another game then please show us screenshots of that game. You did it great in previous issue with Gribblys Day Out but this issue - you said Turrican was inspir...

Re: New Game and watch
I think this looks like a cool little game. They should have put a few more G & W games on it though. Really good though that we finally get Super Mario Bros 2! Did anyone ever use the Watch mode on these back in the day? I never understood how that was attractive to buyers. Surely people only bough...

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 206
Hi I think it was in this issue - a guy asked for a Fighter's History article in the Leter Pages. I wanted to second his request, would be interested to hear in detail about that game. I would also like to request : -More Neo Geo articles in general please. - Article on the Poy Poy games on the Play...

Re: You Ask The Questions - Francois Lionet
I think they maybe they are good for buttons you click with a mouse. I remember using AMAL maybe once or twice and never using that again. You had a lot of flexibility in that language
I also want to ask Francois - What was his favourite game made in AMOS?

Re: Retro Gamer Review Marks
You should really consider the marks as being different categories. The ratings for homebrew are based on how good the game is for that system and how original it is, while the "new" releases in Retro Rated are more about comparing value as a new game - if that makes sense. I see what you mean. It ...

Re: You Ask The Questions - Francois Lionet
Cheers Rich, I liked how your game includes bonus games - that must have been difficult to code various game styles. Do have video of uour Tetris Joe? Thanks Eric. I actually forgot it had a bonus game in it. I just remember having no idea how to make a platform game and doing it completely the wro...

Retro Gamer Review Marks
I am never very happy with the Retro Gamer review system. Ever since one of my favourite schmups (Neo XYX) got something like 78% and a random homebrew Spectrum schmup I haven't heard of before or since got 93%+ in possibly the same issue. My feeling is that RG is unduly lenient towards amateur home...

Re: You Ask The Questions - Francois Lionet
I just want to show off (or shame myself) and say I wrote the amazing Eat A Log Simulator And Tetris Joe in AMOS. I think they are 2 of the worst games written in the langauge. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OxeaVC2DZ9Q I want to ask Francois what games were actually released professionally that we...

Re: Fighting Fantasy
House of Hell was by far the most atmospheric one I ever played. Ran through it again a few years back, and it's still really well done. Some superb illustrations as well. Yes it was great. It was originally in Warlock (FF Magazine). I played the version in there later and it had a slightly differe...

Re: From the Forum - Issue 197: Shenmue
Shemue is the 2nd best game ever. I used to randomly follow people around to see where they went when they left work etc. My favourite was the helpful guy from the burger bar. He always gives you friendly advice if you talk to him when he's at work but if you try to talk to him when he's shopping or...

Re: What Films/TV Have you Watched Recently?
I just watched Thor Ragnarok and Justice League. Thor was great, probably the best film in the series. Lots of humour and great fun. I saw a film called Planet Hulk a few years back and Thor Ragnarok is basically a re-working of that. I didn't like Justice League that much at all. I think they reall...

Re: Technical Marvels!
I'd like to see more of these types of articles with maybe some explanation from the programmers. I think sometimes these kind of articles (not necessarily in Retro Gamer) miss the point and include games that use custom chips e.g Mario Bros 3, Starfox, Virtua Racing (MD) etc.The irony is that these...
