Re: Post your Android games here?

Cheers Emile. I don't have a Mac so that's where it all falls down on compiling for iOS - my code should work fine on the machines but I don't have the hardware or publishing license to go there and as it's a hobby that's not really paying for itself as it is at the moment it would I suspect leave m...

Re: Re:

I've just released an Android version of this fantastic game, with the permission of the original author Ian Andrew, and it's available on Google Play and Amazon App Marketplace. Mined-Out! on Google Play - Mined-Out! on Amazon mined-out is brilliant, I'd urge anyone with an android to check it out...

Re: Post your Android games here?

Wow, very impressive you have coded all these in 2013! May I ask is this your day job? Cheers Emile. Thank you. I am a carer and am coding as a side project/hobby. I have a fair few freeware remakes on my website going back to 2002 and have featured in RetroGamer in the past for my Trashman remake ...

Re: Post your Android games here?

All these are (apart from the first one, Retro Blitz) coded for onegameamonth, a challenge on Twitter for people to make 12 games during 2013. Some of these games haven't sold too well so far, maybe people think 99p is too expensive or "I'm not paying for remakes!" or maybe they are just not headlin...

Re: Retro Gamer Now On IPhone

I so how do I go about getting my Newsstand digital issues? Well its quite easy, obviously on the Newstand app you search for retro gamer, or do that in the app store and it'll add the magazine to your Newstand. Then touch the app and it'll show you a huge list of RG issues to download and buy Rath...

Re: Retro Gamer Now On IPhone

Do print suscribers get the digital copy free as with a lot of other magazines and publishers?

I so how do I go about getting my Newsstand digital issues?

I have the magazine from issue #1 and having digital copies would be a nice perk.

Thanks.

I agree totally. If I want to know what someone was complaining about in old magazines I will look in my old magazines - or look at the scans on World Of Spectrum. But - I would love to find out back stories from magazines - stuff that was behind closed doors, or stories from the people who made the...

I would love to see an article on Super Play. One of my fave mags ever - the only console magazine I ever bought to be honest. It filled me with SNES gaming goodness, and also introduced me to the world of Japanimation. Fantastic stuff.

Does the Retro Shamer have to be a game or can it be a person?

If it can then I would like to nominate Bruce Everiss.

For the last few months half the internet have had their faces permanently in their palms in horror and embarrassment over it all.

I'm playing Mario Galaxy and have been since it came out... 119 stars and stuck. My 12 and 14 year old stepdaughters have "finished" it too. It's the only game anyone has played in the house since it was released. The kids are obsessed with it and must say I have been too. That last star is doing my...

I was and am quite partial to Super Obliteration that was given away on an Amiga Power coverdisk (the same disk had Atom Smashers, a bomberman clone and a bowling game Strikes N Spares which were both also good.).

I loved it so much I made a remake - which was reviewed in RG. :D

It really is special, isn't it? So slick and so in the spirit of the old games that you can almost believe you are back in the 80s playing a new Harrap Monty game.

I really can't think of a better compliment than that. :)

Re: The RG Bible?

were probably arould in the days of the SNES and Megadrive scenes. Nothing will ever come close to the rivalry between these two machines. . The 8 bits rivalry was worse (check out the 6 billion page long thread in the forums), back then it was schoolyard : "my atari/commodore/spectrum is better th...
