Re: Let's have a Christmas themed cover... Please!

Re: Let's have a Christmas themed cover... Please!
Sorry, but there's no Christmas cover this year. Our issue falls on either the 30th of November, or the 29th of December, so we're either nowhere near Christmas, or we miss it completely. I know there are some of you who enjoy the Christmas covers (I always enjoy seeing myself on Oli's covers) but ...

Re: Future acquire Imagine
I just hope Retro Gamer has a future (geddit) Future's takeover does concern me, I understand its a business decision but theres us readers that get forgotten about. My worry is that Retro Gamer closes and a new Future mag opens as Retro Gamesmaster inline with the Gamesmaster brand or worse still, ...

Re: Bookazines / Specials
My local WH Smith had them in today but unfortunately the three copies that were there had the spines battered so I don't really fancy paying a tenner for a damaged bookazine so the hunt goes on elsewhere.

Spotted this week in the shops... there's the Second edition of NES / Master System bookzine. I can't tell you top of my head what articles (if any) are different from the last bookazine

Re: Bookazines / Specials
Yeah the annual has been out for a couple of weeks in the shops now. I also noticed in the shops a second edition of the Atari book. Not sure if there any new features in there, page wise seems to be around the 250 mark.slacey1070 wrote:Tried two places for the Arcade one - no joy
But the Annual is out.

Re: Introducing The Amiga Book
Don't know if anybody is still struggling to find these books but the Smiths I go to has the C64/Spectrum, NES/Master System, Amiga and the blue Hardware 1977-2001 book (there's no volume number on it so I assume it's the revision) on the shelves. I know the new Amiga book has the Revision mention ...

Re: Introducing The Amiga Book
You dont have to buy it ! I dont think its Retro Gamer taking the mick, more like lots of people asking for it as it was sold out quickly last time. The Amiga one was sold out quickly so they thought they would just add a bit more to it. I love the Speccy and have the first bookazine but probably w...

Re: Introducing The Amiga Book
Noticed that they had a few copies of the C64 book in Smiths today next to NES/Master System book. Have those been reprinted too or are they likely some ancient stock dug out of a storeroom? The C64 book is a revised edition from the last one. There is some more articles from the last one but I bel...

Re: New GamesTM Retro Bookazine
One downside to this bookazine is the page count. Its gone down to 180 pages, compare this to the 250 page count mark of the first one and all for the same money.

Re: Retro Gamer - Issue 124
Great issue as always and happy 10th birthday to Retro Gamer. Can't believe January 2004 was Issue 1 and look how far it has come. Now bring back an anniversary cover CD
Oh and nice mention of Icicle Works as well. Would love a full blown Commodore Plus/4 article at some point in the future.
