Re: Anyone make their own games?
Also, I was wondering, do any of these programs allow you to effectively decrease the screen resolution to say 320x200 (whilst maintaining full-screen) for added retroness?

Re: Anyone make their own games?
Thanks for all the advice. Game Maker looks like it could be a good option for me as it seems well supported. I have no previous experience with real coding and don't have much spare time so it's unrealistic for me to start from scratch with a programming language. I just want to get creative with s...

Re: master system
If you go for the Master System II make sure you get the one with Alex Kidd built in. This is an expensive game for us with the first Master System! Is a built in Alex Kidd uncommon for the Master System I? Because mine has it built in and my friend's too. No. That's why the cartridge is so expensi...

Re: worst game you actually finished
I think it has to be the first WWF game for the Game Boy - I managed to drop kick my way through all 4 opponents to the World Championship belt! I found it incredibly difficult to pin opponents in that game! Its quite interesting to see that some people hate the games I love! I always really fancie...

Anyone make their own games?
Hi! Many years ago with one of the first dozen or so Retro Gamers there came a disk including 'The Games Factory' by Clickteam. With this software I began to make a Manic Miner style platform game but with Master System type graphics. I am considering resurrecting the game but have found Games Facto...

Some Master System games I recommend: Sensible Soccer (as good as the Amiga version IMHO) Speedball II (") Sonic 1 (I prefer it to MD version) Choplift...

Re: what retro game are you currently playing ?
A few old Speccy games:
Splat! - awesome game
WEC Le Mans - this has the smoothest and speediest feel of any Spectrum driving game that I've played
Manic Miner
Robocop
Batman: The Movie - The Spectrum version of this game doesn't get mentioned much but I prefer it to the Amiga's

Splat! on the Spectrum - it's highly addictive (up there with Tetris).

Best games by genre - Spectrum
Hi all, This is my first post having been reading this forum on and off since it began! (I've been a RG reader since discovering Issue 1 back in early 2004 at WHSmith). I know there are loads of threads about the best games for such and such a system but are there any which organise them into genre ...
