Review of the game - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ydMLculJDIc

Mixed bag apparently, and the game designer sounds like he's a bit of a loser.

Re: 3DS Games discussion/Collecting thread

I should note that a game called "Gurren Lagann" on the DS got the rom translation treatment this week. Is an adventure action game by the look of it and based on a anime. Interesting game. https://www.siliconera.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/07/gurren.jpg Bad point is that in physical form you'd only...

Re: What are you currently playing?

Bloodstained in both it's 8-bit and 2.5D incarnations is excellent and most definitely worthy of playing if you like/love Metroidvania's or just 2D platformers in general.

Re: What are you currently playing?

Currently playing Death Stranding after picking it up for 60% off during the black Friday special on Steam. Got what I was expecting being a Kojima game. Odd setting, cinematic cutscenes (with even more odd stuff), damn fine graphics, fascinating and great gameplay, and heaps of stuff that makes no ...

Re: Suggestions for best platform games

Quite a few games above I would not classify as a platforming game in the slightest. Alundra and System Shock 2 for example. Not to say their not awesome games. SS2 in particular is a MUST play at least once in your lifetime style game.

Awesome. Hope my gameplay showcases what the games about. I didn't mind the gameplay after a while. You get used to it's style after some time.

Well he did the smart thing. He did all the work in secret then released it, waited a few hours then removed all the download links, by which time torrents and alternate downloads were available elsewhere.

Link the Faces of Evil & Wand of Gamelon PC Remasters

https://nerdbacon.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/Link-faces-of-evil-1-500x300.jpg Link the Faces of Evil and Wand of Gamelon, released on the Philips CDI back in the 90s, are seen as the worst games in the Zelda series by a longshot. Nintendo themselves don't even acknowledge their existence, so th...

Re: Suggestions for best platform games

Alex Kid in Miracle World is legendary. Thanks! These are the type of games I'm looking for  No problem happy to help out. Now I'm assuming your looking for pure 2D platforming games (this being retro gamer forum afterall) otherwise would have said some good 3D ones, and nothing Metroidvania-...

Re: Jeff Minter picks "No Man's Sky" as his "Game of a Generation"

No Man's Sky is pretty damn awesome. I played it earlier this year for a good while. Super addictive. Lost weeks to just building up my bases, and constructing paths to far away resource points. Fun times. Great getting in your buggy vehicle and just wandering the surroundings. I'd not played the ga...
