Re: What are you currently playing?

Currently playing Dawn of War - Dark Crusade. Easily one of the best WH40k games of all time. DoW 2 is pretty damn awesome as well.

Re: What game have you COMPLETED this week

Finally beat Hollow Knight. Best Metroidvania I've ever played. It's hard for me to o say that too as Castlevania SOTN is one of my favorite games of all time, and that had better music.

Re: Master System must haves?

I'd argue that the SMS port of Double Dragon is the best of all the 8-bit versions.

Re: Master System must haves?

The Sega Master System was the second console I owned (after the Atari 2600).

My favs:

Alex Kid in Miracle World
Double Dragon
Golden Axe
Golden Axe Warrior - A far better Zelda than Zelda
Phantasy Star - Best in the series
Sonic 1 & 2
Wonderboy 3
Ys - The Vanished Omens

Re: Favorite Video Game TV Commercial

Did like the one with the crowds chanting 'Mario' and the camera panned back to a picture of the earth, with people arranged to make Mario's face - think that was when the SNES came out in the UK. Nope, that was when Super Mario Bros came out on the NES. Around the same time the movie "The Wizard" ...

I recall calling the Sega Hotline for help with Alex Kid in Miracle World. That game was tough in the later bits.

Joysticks (1983)

After watching last weeks episode of "Rental Reviews" on Youtube which lead me to the movie "Joysticks" which came out in 1983. Its easiest described as a movie combining "Revenge of the Nerds", "Animal House" and "The Wizard". I quite enjoyed it due its early 80s video game arcade focus. It is prac...

Re: What are you currently playing?

I haven't installed the dlcs yet...! I played through both last week. Pharaohs's Curse is by far the better of the two. Has quite a considerable amount of gameplay included, plenty of side quests, new enemies and some damn beautiful new locations in the Egyptian Afterlife. On my end, felt like play...

Re: Anyone selling a ps1 (or preferably a ps2)?

David, remember that any PS2 or PS3 can play PS1 games, so the PS2 kills two birds with one stone. Your incorrect there. Only the first generation of PS3 consoles, which contain the emotion chip can play ps1 and ps2 games. For the generations of the console after that, only digital downloads work.

The best one of all is the Rock Band games. Want 3+ players on the one system and screen? No worries, go for it.

Favorite Video Game TV Commercial

What's your favorite video game TV commercial?

For me:

https://youtu.be/CrATmeFoJPE

When I saw that ad on TV for the first time, that was when I realized that games were becoming MUCH more popular. And it made me want a NES (I had a Sega Master System and an Atari 2600 back then).
