Re: How big are you expecting the PS4 VR to be?

Darran, I hardly starting moaning about VR just said I had no interest personally I don't think there is anything wrong with that. It is a shame that you felt the need to somehow name and shame me, I have bought well over 100 issues of Retro Gamer over the last 12 years and bought several bookazines...

Why would I not be into it? I don't understand.
Just saying Darren you seem to be acting like a massive PS4 VR fanboy, if anyone disagrees you accuse them of being jaded or a troll.

Re: How big are you expecting the PS4 VR to be?

I have zero interest myself, although that said I have very little interest in modern gaming anyway except wwe games and the odd driving game. I am surprised that Darren is so into it already, I hope it is at least a partial success for Sony's sake as they have sunk billions of pound that they reall...

Re: How to manage the balance between retro and current purc

Just bought Project Cars on ps4, haven't yet tried it but it looks great. Recently downsized my retro collection due to the fact that I may well be moving soon. Sold my n64 and super nes stuff but kept my ps2 slim. I have great memories of the 16 bit days but when I buy a game from that era I often ...

Re: Which Gran Turismo is your favourite, and why?

The first one for me, I had just finished Porsche Challenge when I picked up Gran turismo in the summer of 98. The difference was night and day, not only in looks but scale and handling. I missed out on the second one as I was saving for ps2 and playing not stop isa pro evolution. The 3rd and 4th ve...

Re: Franchises companies don't seem to know what to do with

I would like to see Nintendo revisit Waveracer, not seen since the days of the Gamecube around 2002. The N64 version was superb, the cube version less so but still very decent. Maybe a proper update of Golden axe or Alien Storm from Sega, the golden axe game made in 2008 was not really a genuine upd...

Re: Never buying from Game again...

I worked for Game from 2004 until early 2013 and I can tell you that the till is not that rigid, whoever is in charge on the day can manually discount any console/bundle. The problem is all the manual discounts are added up by the head office and often charged back to the store after the next stock ...

Re: Your top 10 games of 2014

Mainly sequels for me to be honest. Pes 15 on ps4 - Best version since the ps2 days. Fifa 15 ps4 - Not a great deal more than last years effort but good nonetheless. WWE 2k15 ps3 and ps4 - Not as much content as usual but still fun as I am a massive fan of wrestling. Rayman Legends ps4 - I loved the...

Your most exciting time in gaming

I was just wondering what was everybody's most exciting time in gaming? For me it was around the mid 90's during the build up and launch of the original playstation. I had a snes and a megadrive at the time but the idea of trading sonic and mario world for the likes of ridge racer and tekken was inc...

Re: Best ISS Games (Pre PES Era)

I loved Iss pro evolution in ps one way back in 2000. It was the first one to include club sides via the awesome master league. The following year the sequel iss pro evolution 2 was released and was even better, offering more clubs and 2 leagues where you needed to win promotion before you could rea...

Re: Italian Football craze of early 1990's

I used to love the bit where James would sit down and have a cup of expresso and read through the Italian football newspapers, his one liners were a match for any comedians of the time.

Italian Football craze of early 1990's

Does anybody on here remember the explosion in popularity of Serie A in the early part of the 90's? Channel 4 started showing live matches on a sunday and highlights on a Saturday morning, presented by the very funny James Richardson. Serie A was the best league in the world at the time with great p...

Re: Gears of War

I really loved the original game, but did not like the sequels so much. Especially the second there was way too many cut scenes during the campaign, during the bit where you meet dizzy and take a ride on his big rig called betty there is 20 mins of cut scenes and around 5 mins of gameplay. The origi...

Crash Team Racing

I was wondering if the magazine might do a feature on Crash team racing on the original playstation, it is 15 years old this year and I don't remember it ever really being mentioned before. I have always loved kart racers, from mario kart and street racer on snes right through to sega and sonic raci...
