Re: Any Sega fans from Australia here?

I am the biggest sega fan in Australia. I have all the things and my sega collection can be seen from space. When I completed my 400+ Dreamcast game collection, I bought a Naomi 2 board and started collecting Naomi carts and GD-roms, of which I have over 50. I also have a Pioneer Laseractive with mo...

Re: Thoughts on new Sonic games

Sonic would be awesome if he didn't control like a nub of butter on a hot skillet. I understand that he's supposed to be fast, but in the classic games he wasn't so fast that you lost control half the time. The "fastness" came from learning the levels, planning your route, timing your jumps, and usi...

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

Almost near the end of my Dreamcast wishlist. This is pretty much the zenith of my collection, purchased off yahoo auctions japan via buyee. Cost me less than $100 +shipping and fees, much less than those scalpers on ebay. Seller listed it with 'slight yellowing', but I can't see it. http://I.imgur....

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

I don't have munchman on tape, but I do have experience with tapes refusing to load *sigh*

I do have munchman on my sc-3000 survivors multicart though - no need to load from tape.

Re: Most consistently good

Puzzle games? I can't think of an awful puzzle game - lots of average ones certainly, but none that have been absolutely horrible. I think Gibberish probably hit it on the head though, The pool of point and click adventures is relatively small, but the ratio of good ones to bad ones would have to be...

Re: Sega Pluto found

The reserve was set high so that the sale could be finalised outside of ebay and seller could avoid ebay fees.

Although the highest bidder backed out and now seller is working down the line

http://i.imgur.com/hJRwn15.jpg Got mine! Redspot were kind enough to upgrade my postage to first class for free, since I ordered both the limited edition and the regular edition. Kind of disappointed I didn't get the plush Krakor, as I would have from play-asia, but you can't be disappointed with f...

Re: Top 30 Capcom games

Code Veronica needs more love. The creepy relationship between Alfred and Alexia has instilled more horror in me then any of the other games in the series (although I must admit, I haven't played 4 or 5). And Gargoyle's Quest! Red Blaze forever! "Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo X: Grand Master Challeng...

I'm going to quote a post from another forum from last year REVENGE OF SHINOBI When folk argue that 'videogames are art', it's always the same trite opining that Shadow of the Colossus or Metal Gear Solid 4 or Ocarina of Final FantaZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzz. F*ck that, here's my nomination. And why? It's p...

Re: Qix - Taito Legends

I remember the first time I split the Qix - I was overjoyed and freaked out at the same time.

Because the Qix moves much slower on the game boy, you can split a single Qix by drawing a line right through the middle of it.

Re: Too many games to play!!!!

Yes. I've referred to my stack of shame as my "retirement plan" I started heavily collecting Dremcast games a while back and kept picking them up for cheap. I then realised if I was going to give each at least one month of my time (4 weekends), that would constitute the next 30 years of entertainmen...

Re: Flying the hang glider on Sonic 2

You can get through the level without the hang glider. You might lose a few rings, but it is possible across the bottom path. Like all good flight simulators (*chortle*) you need to make tiny adjustments and small smooth movements. Since this is the age before analog control, you need to tap your di...
