Re: Sonic the hedgehog - MASTER SYSTEM

I actually prefer the Master System version over the Mega Drive. The second game however, is infuriating

Re: Looking for a PS2 console or Wii/Gamecube/PS3 Stuff

I may have a spare PS2 with some controllers. What sort of games/genres are you interested in? I might be able to get a bundle together with leads and memory card etc

The only thing I dont have in your trade list is a Commodore (never touched or played one so its completely foreign to me)

FFXII The Zodiac Age

I never finished the PS2 version despite putting around 80 hours in I think

The new license boards are interesting. Always wanted to give it a go but never got round to getting an English ROM of the PS2 edition

Re: Has trading died?

I think I'm at a point where I have most of what I set out to get. Not only that, the rise in prices EVERYWHERE make buying up dupes as trade fodder less frequent. CEX now take a lot of retro stuff and give a pretty decent price for a lot of it. I took a yellowed Snes and Saturn, both unboxed, to th...

Re: What are you currently playing?

I have been playing Tekken 7. Mainly online and training mode

I've never been good at Tekken, though I've done well with Shaheen in ranked matches :D

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

I traded in a load of 'select items' into CEX and got a decent amount of store credit. All paid for the following

Re: The answer to why we like retro games.

I agree that nostalgia is probably the biggest pull for a lot of games and systems. Though another big pull is the discovery of games. I'm still learning about PS1/PS2/Saturn games despite me thinking I had pretty good knowledge of the systems. I've picked up various consoles over the years and ever...

The Cex site says it'll pay £20 (store credit) for an unboxed PlayStation 2! So I'm cashing mine in at the weekend.
£53 store credit for an unboxed Saturn. £90 price in store

Falcom Classics collection after seeing Riddler's post about it. Came to something like £9-£10 inc shipping from Japan

Nightmare Before Christmas NTSC as I fancied it years ago. Never saw a copy in shops and had since forgotten about it

Phantasy Star Online

I am aware that PSO2 came out, but it didn't make it's way here. I'd be happy with a HD update of the original PSO!

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

^^ Capcom fighters/shooters, Cannon Spike, Samba with maracas.... If you are made of money :D I guess its fine if you are happy to burn a load of games to disc but that doesn't look good at events. Nor would using Playstation controllers. I'm not a fan of the Dreamcast anymore. I used to love it yea...

Re: Sega Saturn Collecting

Cex now sell Saturn stuff. Interesting looking at their pricing and how they have unboxed consoles for £90. I appreciate that people buy with trade ins so prices are naturally higher than the going rate, but I expected something around the £50 mark. That said, I think they give good credit for their...

Re: Highly rated games that you do not like.

I always wanted to like the Mass Effect games. I loved Bioware stuff on the original Xbox, like Jade Empire and Star Wars KOTOR. However, I just couldn't get on with Mass Effect.

Re: What are you currently playing?

I've been playing Paladins on both XboxOne and PS4. Poor man's Overwatch (though I think it came out before on PC, I'm not sure).

Good fun if you like Team Fortress, Overwatch etc. Might grab the founders pack at some point as it is only £15.99.

Re: Opinion on Limited Run Games (LRG)?

I think the fact that all of their games are obtainable digitally, so if you do just want to play them you do still have the option. I appreciate that physical releases are more appealing, and if a game I really liked was being published by them I would likely set out to get my hands on a copy. The ...
