Re: Bookazines or lack of.

Is there actually any new content in the "100 games" one I wonder? Also the price has skyrocketed.. £15.99 inc delivery. It's also as I said above a deviation from any sort of "branding" again. And I can envisage a yearly "revised edition" to take in to account new games. Not sure on this one. :? T...

Re: 'Bedrooms to Billions' film project - how you can help!

I'm afraid I'm going to have to disagree with Necronom's review. I was a big fan of the first film, and thought they did a fantastic job on it. The Amiga Years, in my opinion, falls far short of the high standard they set with that though. First, the good - the historical footage is of a high qualit...

Re: The Missing Retro Gamer features

Not sure if this has already been mentioned in this thread (27 pages - TL;DR), but I'd like to see a feature on the worst games machines / consoles. Apple Pippin, The ActionMAX VHS etc :D

That'll be it- cheers. Should have known that, seeing as I had a NES back in the day

In my defence, it was 28 years ago.....

Re: Issue 155

Not read it yet, but like the dual cover. Actually prefer the Orion cover, but can see why the NES one is the "real" cover (popularity / recognition). Only thing I didn't like about the NES cover was the white spots. I thought they spoilt the cover somewhat. What are they supposed to be? Paint splas...

Re: Discuss Time! Issue 152

Games that allow you to get very far in, but then either put up a boss you have no chance of defeating at your current character level or a puzzle that requires an item you don't have, and then forces you to backtrack for hours, either grinding to level up or searching out that one elusive item.......

Has there been a history of the MSX range yet? And all those Japanese arcade conversions available for them on cartridge, Gradius, Salamander, etc., etc?

Re: Distribution

I can't help you with this I'm afraid but can look into it. With regards to finding bookazines. WHSmiths apparently ship to key stores, which then ship to others. That's the reason why it can take so long to go on sale in some locations. That's obviously out of our control. Ah, that explains things...

Re: Retro Gamer 150 - Your Greatest Games Ever!

Only about 30 pages in, but really enjoying this issue. I've been an RG reader since the start, but it's fascinating to see how many games in the new list that were also in the old list have dropped a considerable number of places - I suspect now that the world and his dog can emulate, play via Virt...

Re: Bookazines / Specials

For some reason it takes some areas of WHSmiths to get them on shelves compared to other regions. All three of those books you've mentioned are available in our local store, but that was a good two-three weeks after they actually came out. Hi Darran, This still isn't in any of the WHSmith's I've be...

Re: Subscriptions Queries

Hi, I see there is currently an offer on of 12 issues for £24.99, which is about half of what I've been paying as a loyal subscriber for years. What's the best way for me to get this price? Should I cancel my current subscription and take a new one out? http://imagine.subscribeonline.co.uk/all-title...
