Re: Anybody else preordered the new Playstation Vita yet?

I probably won't buy it, as I've just bought a 3DS and so I'm skint. I did play it recently in GAME and it's very shiny, the graphics are really amazing. I just played some generic racing game, nothing special, but whether or not I'll be interested in this will depend on the games later on. I'm not ...

Re: Poll - Do you play new releases?

I tend to buy more retro games than new games, just because they are usually cheaper and better. But there are a few games I'm wanting, such as Catherine. I usually like independant games as there is often more variety than the generic FPS surge we have these days.

Aww~ It is very expensive though I must say, especially with the rate at the moment things seem more and more expensive.

Re: Japan Only recommendations? [UPDATED PIC HEAVY.]

Haha, I know, I didn't expect anything Ace Attourney to be there but when I got the floor guide I was like OH WOW. The game was you basically had to go to the dudes desk, get all the info and then you'd be sent round Segaland to find clues. There was different TV screens dotted around with different...

Re: Going to Japan tomorrow - Japan Only recommendations?

Mandarake! They are pretty certain to have something you like, if you like stuff. Cuz that is what they got lots of. Big generic recycled goods shop like Hard Off are also good for a visit as you can sometimes find real bargains there. But they are tough for someone just visiting to track down. I w...

Hah, my hairdresser asked for the same yesterday.

I do own a Sega Saturn, not sure about compatability of imported games but will have to see about that.

Re: Issue 90 feedback thread

Spotted this in the shop because of shiny Zelda cover - didn't know about it until then, the shame of it! I flicked open a page and there was ToeJam and Earl, so of course I had to buy it.

Japan Only recommendations? [UPDATED PIC HEAVY.]

I'm jetting off to Japan tomorrow for a two week holiday, obviously since I'm a huge fan of retro gaming goodness, I wondered if you guys have any recommendations of rare finds I will be able to get in Japan? Or just Japan-only games in general, rare or not, would be good. I'll be going to Nipponbas...

Don't have any pictures at the moment, there is a video of my console collection here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X1yEdz4jxRs&lc (The intro has swearing, btw, don't blast it out at work, hah)

Re: What games/consoles have you bought this week??

I bought a SNES last week, was randomly missing from my collection (I KNOW, SUCH SIN) but I got it for 17 quid with controllers, all wires, working and a random football game, not so bad IMO. I'm going to Japan tomorrow (yeah I know, random) so I'll be looking round the stores for some Japan-only go...

Re: So, who doesn't give a crap about Zelda?

I adore Zelda, mainly because of childhood nostalgia. I don't really mind that other people don't like it, as it does have it's flaws and I'm not stupid enough to be blinded by fandom. It does follow the same formulae a lot of the time, so if you aren't enjoying it then that's fair enough. I didn't ...

Re: LA Noire

I really love this game, I'm about 3 quarters of the way through and I'm pretty hooked on it. I think it really appeals to me because it just feels different to all the other AAA titles being released these days, I like it's attempt at innovation. I liked the storyline, obviously the character expre...

Re: Introduce yourself

Hello, I'm Misa. I only just discovered Retro Gamer (thanks to the shiny Zelda cover) but I was pretty amazed by it. So many blasts from the past in there, so now I'm hooked. I collect retro consoles and I also host a gaming radio show called Megabites which has a Retro Review section. I'm not parti...
